Octane Multimedia Announces THE POOLS, a Found-Footage Descent Into Liminal Horror
The studio confirms a December 25, 2026 theatrical release for THE POOLS — a Backrooms-inspired horror film set in an endless maze of impossible swimming pools.

Octane Multimedia today announced THE POOLS, a found-footage horror feature arriving in theaters December 25, 2026.
Inspired by liminal spaces, abandoned waterparks, and Backrooms-style internet horror, the film follows a teenager who accidentally noclips into an endless architecture of swimming pools, flooded corridors, and tiled tunnels with no exit.
"We wanted to build a place that feels like a memory you can't quite place — chlorine, fluorescent hum, and the sense that the water is deeper than it should be," the filmmakers said in a statement.
THE POOLS will be the centerpiece of the studio's 2026 genre slate. Casting and first-look imagery will be revealed in the coming months.
